Why Suffocation Risk Matters When Choosing a Silicone Vomit Bib
Why suffocation risk matters?? You'll want to read this before you buy a large bucket bib!! ‼️🚨🔔
Silicone vomit bibs are taking the market by storm, and there's now multiple bibs to choose from. Because these are so new, design standards and manufacturing best practices aren't well established.
Each silicone vomit bib on the market touts a very large bib bucket to catch up to 1L of vomit-these buckets are BIG. When it comes to collecting vomit, size matters....you don't want any messes overflowing from the bib. BUT, and this is a big but, with bucket size comes suffocation risk
Kids are kids, and if you know toddlers, you know they pull things over their head like it's their job. With a silicone bucket that's head size, this creates a moderate to high level of risk (see slide 2), for suffocation and entrapment. 🥺
Vomit collection and mess solutions should not risk your child's life. 👀 That's why we created the ONLY silicone vomit bib with breathability holes to deter against suffocation and entrapment. Heaveroo is third party lab-tested for safety risk, and is deemed safe when used as directed.
We designed Heaveroo to be breathable if pulled over a child's head, and we've tested it in the real world including with our own kids. The breathability holes contain raised ridges to help deter leaks, and in our beta testing, we've found leakage through the upper holes to be minimal. The holes aren't an oversight, they're a key safety component.
When it comes to your little ones, taking risks just isn't an option. Meet Heaveroo-America's ONLY CPSIA (safety) compliant silicone vomit bib. We take this seriously, and are proud to bring you a safe, functional solution without cutting corners.
